CONNECTICUT -- After a year of careful study by a bipartisan working group appointed by Gov. Ned Lamont, a bill before the legislature would allow ranked choice voting in presidential primaries, party primaries, and as an option in local elections, if those cities and towns decide it’s a good fit for them.

More choice

There are so many positive reasons to do so. As the working group heard from communities nationwide who have enacted RCV, and academics who have studied it, this is a reform that gives voters more choice, while increasing participation and voter satisfaction. Voters like it and find it easy to use.
